Pete George continued his improvement to lead our men home to 3rd place on the day. WE finished 4th overall in Division 1. Chris Sykes made a welcome return after almost 2 years.

Sunday - 2nd March 2008 - Steyning Stinger Marathon
Paul Brackett took on yet another difficult marathon,in Sussex this time, and came away with a sub 4-hour top 20 result. Winning time: 3:16:00 Number of finishers: 114
New member Rhona Jack ran an impressive time in preparation for London Marathon suffering a little at 10 miles but finishing well inside 1:45. Marcus Maxwell was also preparing for London and ran the fastest time this year for the Club. Winning time: 1:01:19 Number of finishers: 11,181

Sunday - 9th March 2008 - Banbury 15-Mile
Our men achieved 2nd team thanks to James Bolton, Pete George, Kevin Game & Carey Gray. Mike Shipway earned 2nd V60 honours whilst Gillian Howell led our girls home in just over 2 hours. Winning time: 1:24:03 Number of finishers:296
After 161 laps of the Jenner Park track, Dominic Croft was only 300m behind the winner. This result has gained him provisional selection for England at the Anglo-Celtic Plate 100K in May. Winning time: 4:20:14 Number of finishers: 23
There was victory for our girls in the women's race, Sharron Sheppard putting in the fastest time of the day. Chris Sykes also ran the fastest leg in the men's category helping our men to 2nd behind Witney Road Runners.

Peter Rayner put in another commendable effort in blustery but fine conditions to finish inside the top 150. Winning time: 51:52 Number of finishers: 1,139
A trio of Harriers, plus Carl Thompson running for RAF, had to cope with atrocious weather conditions with snow and wind plus deep mud, making times much slower than in previous years. Winning time: 2:24:31 Number of finishers: 197
Paul Brackett suffered some distress at the end of this off-roader in snow, wind and mud crossing the line dead on his feet in 6th place. Winning time: 5:03:30 Number of finishers: 53
