James Bolton made it two Grand Prix wins in a row following his Thame 10K Victory last week leading from gun to tape in a new Club V40 record. Kevin Game finished overall 4th to secure the Senior Men's County title whilst Jake and Alan Harrison helped the Club to County team gold. There were personal bests from Alan & Adrian Smith and a strong debut 5-miler for the Club from Liz Ashdowne.

Bryan Vaughan set a new age category record taking 1st V50 honours whilst Lisa Clarke ran a personal best to finish 1st LV40/44. Lisa's daughters Imogen and Abbie also took part with Imogen finishing 3rd in her age group.

Jason Barry returned to race action after a long injury lay-off with a strong run over an undulating, twisty course.

It was Dave Cantwell who led home the men's team whilst Lisa Clarke headed our womens' effort on a very hot day over a hilly course. Thanks to all those who tested the new very challenging course.

Friday/Saturday 16th/17th August 2013 - British Ultra Fest 24-hour Race (Radley College)
Paul Brackett was the only Oxfordshire athlete to finish completing exactly 100 miles in the allotted 24-hour time. Paul started strongly at 11 am on Friday but during the early hours of Saturday suffered with sickness and was unable to keep any food or drink down. He recovered well at first light but had to increase his pace to meet the 100 mile target and just managed this with a series of 2:30 laps.

Our men's team was depleted by injuries and absences but James Bolton came up trumps again with another great run to lead home our men in 3rd place. Lisa Clarke, Liz Ashdowne & Susan Haines made up our skeleton women's team.

Although the course is accurate it is not officially measured and personal bests will not count towards Club road rankings.
