Chris Sykes took 2nd V50 honours coming 9th overall whilst Gillian Howell led our girls home. It was great to see Harriers legend Paul Taylor taking part and Steve Caswell putting in another brave run. Jamie O'Shea, visiting from home in Ireland, also impressed. Hans Price tested his fitness as part of his marathon training and found the going hard after some high mileage over recent weeks. Winning time: 1:14:35 Number of finishers: 286
A disappointing turn-out relegated our men to 5th place from 3rd overall. Our girls failed to raise a full team. Chris Sykes took 1st V50 honours coming 14th overall whilst Sharron Sheppard was 3rd LV35 on the night. Sharron also took overall 2nd LV35 honours. A great team effort from our men,led by James Bolton, gave us valuable Grand Prix points and enabled us to finish 2nd in the team competition. Chris Sykes & Bryan Vaughan gained 1st & 2nd V50 honours whilst Gillian Howell and Carey Gray won 3rd LV45 & 3rd M40 prizes respectively. Hans Price and Mark Pidgeon completed personal bests.
