Caeron Phillips, Lisa Clarke and Abbie Clarke all had strong runs, Caeron winning her age category, Lisa coming 2nd and Abbie 3rd.

Another good day for Woodstock as James Bolton won the men's race with Rachel Masser, Sophie Carter & Jess Webb coming 2nd, 3rd & 5th respectively in the women's contest. We won both men's & women's team competitions. Rachel Masser set a new LV35 Club record, Bryan Vaughan took 2nd V60 honours and Jake Harrison was 2nd Junior.There were excellent debut 5-mile runs for the Club by Rob Linnell, Rachel Masser and Zoe White and personal bests from Jess Webb, Lisa Clarke & Valerie Berryman-Bousquet.

Brian O'Connor made a welcome return to action after injury taking 1st V40/44 honours

Sunday 20th October 2013 - Abingdon Marathon (Incorporating the Oxfordshire County Championships)
James Bolton made a gutsy effort to win the race but just faltered over the last 6 miles still taking the County Championship title and 1st V40 honours in both Open & County races. James was given great support by Dave Cantwell and Bryan Vaughan who took County 3rd V40 & Open & County V60 honours respectively. Our men's team was completed by Gavin Bird, Paul Bracket and Will Hudson who clocked a personal best. Lisa Clarke & Paula Booth both had excellent debut marathon runs for the Club. James also set a new V40 Club Marathon record

James Bolton led our men home to 4th in Division 1 in blustery though good underfoot conditions. Sam Cruickshank had an excellent run to finish 4th Harrier home whilst Bryan Vaughan took 1st V60 honours. Jake Harrison, stepping up to the Senior race for the first time, ran strongly to make the A team. Adam Spaul had a solid debut run for the Club and Sonnie Jane tasted his first cross-country outing.

It was another race win for James Bolton as he led our men's team home to yet another Oxon Road Race Grand Prix team victory and bronze County team award. James also cemented his first place in the individual Grand Prix competition for the 5th time in 6 years with Kevin Game and Dave Cantwell taking 2nd and 3rd place honours respectively to give Woodstock a clean sweep. James took 1st V40 in both Open and County Championships whilst Bryan Vaughan was 1st V60 in both Open and County competitions.
Rachel Masser set yet another Club record beating her own V35 time to win the women's race and the remarkable Sophie Carter was 4th female overall and 1st Senior Lady just 3 months after giving birth to son Ethan. Rachel, Sophie and Sue Cantwell took County team gold. There were personal bests for Rachel Masser,Colin Travi, Lisa Clarke, Eileen Doherty, Zoe White, Paula Booth, Nadine Carroll, Dean Richens and Adrian Smith and excellent Club debut 10K runs for Adam Spaul and Caeron Phillips. Caeron set a new LV45 Club Record.
In the Club Handicap competition the winner is Lisa Clarke with James Bolton 2nd and Alan Harrison 3rd. Congratulations to all on some excellent results.
