London Marathon 2019 place!

London Marathon Guaranteed EntryAs in previous years the Club has a place available for the London Marathon and we will hold a ballot for this at the Club Christmas Dinner and Awards on 15th December. Oxon Cross-Country season gets underway

Newbury Showground hosted round 1 of the 2018-2019 competition in which James Bolton and Dave Cantwell took 3rd V40 and 2nd V50 honours respectively. We managed to field just 9 men and two women namely Sue Cantwell and Susan Haines. Full results below:

In perfect running conditions, Sophie Carter took the women’s Open, County and LV35  titles in the Abingdon Marathon. Her excellent 2:54:04 was just 9 seconds outside her personal best for the Club set back in 2011. Club Handicap Competition update

There is nothing in it after race 16 of 18 events in the Club Handicap competition. Following the Hanney 5, Alan Harrison is just one point ahead of Dave Cantwell with James Bolton nailed on in third place. With neither running at Abingdon Marathon this coming Sunday 21st October, it all depends on the Eynsham
