Paul Brackett ran 3 minutes faster this year despite doing an extra couple of miles after losing his way over the North Yorkshire Moors. Winning time: 4:31 Number of finishers:72
Saturday 12th July 2008 - Yarnton 5-Mile (County Championships)
Due to a problem on the course with a locked gate, the race course was altered during the race and runners completed 5.2 miles. Our men won the County title and our girls came 1st in the open team competition. Gillian Howell took LV45 County gold as well as coming 3rd V45 in the open race. James Bolton & Tracey Scarlett both earned bronze medals in the County Senior Men & Senior Women categories respectively. Rebecca Haines made an impressive debut.

Jason Barry achieved his short-term goal of a sub 17-minute 5K and is now looking to beat 16:30 next time out.
