Martin Ineson broke the old course record in this hilly multi-terrain run to the summit of Leckhampton Hill and back, securing a creditable 3rd place.

Roger Bradley was first Harrier home in front of an improving Jason Barry, recovering from injury and Susan Haines who set a new V55 Club 5K record and a personal best.

The fact that Race 4 in the series was switched from Chipping Norton and the course extended by 51 yards did not make much difference as Steve Naylor and Sophie Carter yet again won the men's and women's races respectively. Steve Naylor broke the course record with his 5th win from 5 series races and Jess Webb had a marvellous run to win the women's race. Daniel Moseley took 2nd U19 honours, Bryan Vaughan was 3rd V50 and Peter Rayner 3rd V60. In the overall competition Steve and Jess were 1st Senior Man and 1st Senior Woman respectively, Peter was 3rd V60 and Susan Haines 3rd LV55. Our men came 2nd to Oxford City AC and our girls finished 4th in the competition behind Headington A, Alchester and Headington B. Winning time: 20:11 (Men) / 24:17 (Women) Number of finishers: 323
Sunday 4th September 2011 - Wolverhampton City Marathon
Dominic Croft put in a terrific performance to win the race by over 3 minutes in his first come-bck race for 2 years after recovering from a serious running injury. After trailing by 3 minutes at half way Dominic took the lead at 22 miles and was simply too strong for the opposition.

Sophie Carter shook off a recent injury to win the women's race whilst the ever improving Jess Webb took 2nd SL honours. Sue Cantwell ensured that our girls won both open and County competitions. Susan Haines is the County LV55 champion. In the men's race James Bolton came 3rd, Dave Cantwell 7th in a personal best time, Kevin Game 8th and Martin Ineson 9th to give our men both open and County titles.
