Dean Richens continued his march towards being the runningmost Harrier with another 5K multi-terrain effort.

James Bolton led our men's team home to a 6th successive team victory taking 2nd overall and 1st Open & County V40 honours.Kevin Game had a great run to finish 5th. Dave Cantwell was 2nd V40 in both Open & County competitions and there were some excellent personal best performances and debut runs over the distance.Our men are also County champions.

Brian O'Connor ran into 2nd V40 position whilst Sarah Kerswell & Susan Haines acquitted themselves well, Sarah setting a personal best just 13 seconds outside Sue Harrison's V45 Club record and Susan taking 3rd LV55 honours.

Carey Gray picked up 1st V50 honours over this seriously hilly course just beating Paul Brackett's brother Pete for the honour. Martin Townsend warmed up for the London Marathon next week and Paul himself managed a top-50 finish whilst Adrian Smith set off at pace but found the hill a little testing to say the least.

Bryan Vaughan set a new best ever age graded time whilst Sarah Kerswell followed up her recent Highworth 5 run with another strong performance. Adrian Smith continued to improve with his quickest time over the course since joining the Club.

Suzanne Briggs beat the 26-minnute mark with another excellent run to take 1st LV55/59 honours.

Rachel Masser had a cracking run to lead home our team of 5 Harriers with Neil Preddy clocking a personal best. There was a solid debut Marathon run from Zoe White.

Colin Travi and Kirk Adams found the going very tough over a hilly trail course with little marshal support.

Susan Haines and Dean Richens both ran faster than for some time Susan taking 2nd LV55/59 honours and Dean getting within 23 seconds of a p.b.

Steve Frear returned to action taking an excellent second place with James Bolton in third securing 1st V40 honours. Dave Cantwell finished just outside the top 10 in 12th. Colin Travi ran his first 10K of the season with a satisfactory result finishing just outside the first quarter of the field.

Our men's team did well at this East Midlands Grand Prix fixture around the motor-racing circuit. James Bolton took 1st V40 honours, Dave Cantwell was 3rd V45 and Bryan Vaughan 1st V60.

Paul Brackett put in an excellent performance finishing just outside the top 50 in this multi-terrain river run.

Second claimer Steve Naylor, representing Bedford & County AC, had another cracking run to finish 15th= behind Mo Farah. Steve went through half way in 15:27 and was only 2 seconds slower over the second 5K.

Rachel Masser won the women's race in a new course record in very warm conditions. In the men's race James Bolton took 2nd place again this year and not only beat last year's winner Paul Fernandez but also broke the old course record. Dave Cantwell and Kevin Game both had excellent runs in 4th & 6th respectively.

James Bolton continued his great form with 3rd place almost a minute faster than last year taking 1st V40 honours. The usual suspects, Dave Cantwell, Brian O'Connor, Kevin Game & Rob Linnell gave him good support and it was great to see Dan Moseley back in action after a year out with injury. Lisa Clarke again led home our girls' team which was rather depleted. Winning time: 21:45 (Men)/26:21 (Women) Number of finishers: 302
Colin Travi proved that his hard training regime is working as he ran within 9 seconds of a his p.b. set 5 years ago. Kirk Adams & Nadine Sandjo also had a useful outing.

Dave Cantwell also improved on his 2012 time pipping new second claimer Rob Storey as the duo took 2nd & 3rd V45 places respectively. Jake Harrison and father Alan both set new personal bests and there were good debut runs over the distance from Denise Bridges (2nd claim), Daniel Moseley and Adrian Smith. Our men were 1st team.
