Ultra specialist, 54-year-old Martin Townsend,tacked this 84 mile run over 3 days starting from Ivinghoe Beacon and finishing at Barbury Castle near Swindon. The first two days over 29 and 27 miles took place in wet and windy conditions whilst the last 28-mile leg brought more clement weather.

It wasn't such a good day for Woodstock with some end of the season tiredness but Jess Webb was 2nd Senior Lady in both Open and County races setting a personal best whilst 2nd claimer Sophie Carter won the women's race for Belgrave Harriers. The Club Handicap competition was a nail-biter with Teresa Blackburn beating Adrian Smith by a single point both running massive personal bests on the day.New boy Dan Eisenhandler ran an excellent debut and there were other personal bests for Denise Bridges, Lisa Clarke, Zoe White and Nadine Sandjo.
Congratulations to James Bolton and Dave Cantwell who took 2nd & 3rd Oxon Road Race Grand Prix places respectively, to our men's team who won the team competition yet again and our girls who came 3rd.
