Our men matched last year's result with another Open & County team win. James Bolton ran a personal best for 3rd place and 1st County Senior Man whilst Bryan Vaughan once more "brought home the bacon" in both Open and County V50 competitions. Susan Harrison led home our girls with a super run whilst Sue Cantwell & Nicola Leavesley ran massive personal bests. Karen Jenkins put in a brave effort in her first race since October and there were also personal bests for Hans Price, Mark Pidgeon and Will Hudson. Winning time: 1:12:06 Number of finishers:486

15-year old Daniel Moseley had a marvellous run in his debut 10K at Leamington clocking just under 41 minutes over a hilly course. Winning time: 31:53 Number of finishers:1,714

Gillian Howell returned to action following a long-standing injury and had a great run completing an arduous multi-terrain course in just over 3 hours accompanied by husband Steve.Jonathan Ashworth and John Greenhill both did well to finish inside top 40. Steve Caswell did a great job organising the event this year raising funds for Parkinson's Disease Society. James Bolton won again this year with Bryan Vaughan in 5th and 5 Harriers in the top 14. Winning time: 28:28 Number of finishers: 66
Gavin Bird was fastest of our 6 runners but a little disappointed with his time. Jonathan Ashworth was also below par as were Kevin Game and Martin Townsend. Peter Sugden, however, had a great run as a 60-year-old whilst Paul Daniels clocked a personal best but ran out of steam in the later stages. Winning time: 2:05:10 Number of finishers: 35,000+

John Greenhill continued his great form beating his October 2008 Abingdon time by 17 minutes over a testing course in his fastest time for some years. John was aiming for 3:10 but hit the wall at 20 miles and slowed considerably over the last 10K. Winning time: 2:39:04 Number of finishers: 865

Gillian Howell a great debut marathon
Gillian Howell put the disappointment of having to miss Abingdon Marathon last October behind her and achieved a great result over a testing multi-terrain course taking 2nd lady honours. Husband Steve was close behind after taking a supporting role. Paul Brackett also took part giving us 3 inside the top 50. Winning time: 2:57:40 Number of finishers: 303
A good turn-out of 28 including 9 girls gave us a good start to the series. James Bolton led our men home to 4th overall and Bryan Vaughan, aged 56 on the day, took 2nd V50 honours. Our girls also put in a strong team performance coming 6th with Kerry Steele first back. Winning time: 21:22 Number of finishers: 438
Steve Caswell put many of us who complain about injuries to shame as he completed his third race in 10 days although feeling ill during the run. Winning time: tbc Number of finishers: tbc
Woodstock legend Andy Battye proved that he is still in good form with a 4th V50 placing over a tough course in the Derbyshire Peak District. Winning time: 1:15:19 Number of finishers: 450
Another excellent turn-out for this 5K dash although no prizewinners this time. Steve Frear and Sharron Sheppard were back in action after injury to lead home our respective men's & women's teams. Winning time: 15:01 Number of finishers:254
