Road Running Details

Throughout the year, Woodstock Harriers take part in Road Races all over the country. Individuals are free to enter whatever race they fancy and, as members of a Club affiliated to UK Athletics receive a £2 discount from the normal entry fee in all UKA affiliated races.

To promote and foster the welfare of other Oxfordshire Clubs, however, members are encouraged wherever possible, to enter local races. Please click on Oxford Grand Prix to find out which local races form part of this competition and to see brief details of this scheme. The current Club co-ordinator for the Oxfordshire Road Race Grand Prix competition is Club Captain James Bolton. James can be contacted on: 01865 374092 or e-mail: james.e.bolton@btinternet.com

The Mota-Vation Summer Road Race series, organised by Kidlington Running Club, is a popular series comprising five races starting in early May and ending in late August/early September. All races are about 4 miles in length. Please see the Kidlington Running Club website for more details. Click here.

County Championship races are also important to the Club and each year we make an effort to support Oxfordshire AA by entering as many runners as possible for the designated races. Please click on Oxfordshire County Champs for more information.

Details of some of the more popular races, both local and further afield, can be accessed by clicking on the Forthcoming Fixtures category.

Finally, our own race "The Woodstock 12" is held in September annually by kind permission of His Grace The Duke of Marlborough. An Entry Form and Race Information is available via the Woodstock 12 tab on our Home Page. We are always looking for people to help out on the day with marshaling and other duties.
