The dates of major athletics events are known months if not years in advance, however the times and channels on the BBC are often only available a week in advance and maybe subject to last minute change. The event is then available on iPlayer for one month. Many events are also broadcast by World Athletics, either live (free registration required) or later as video recordings on YouTube. World Athletics live events might be geo blocked, but may be available elsewhere. The 2024 Astana event was live on YouTube by Qazaq Athletics (governing body), even though geo blocked by WA to the UK. Many other events are also streamed live by the organisers. European Athletics stream events (mainly silver and bronze level) on Facebook Live.
