The Final and Deciding Oxfordshire Grand Prix Event of the Season (WS12)

Venue: Pleasure Gardens, Blenheim Park, Woodstock, Oxon, OX20 1PZ
WS12: Course distance: Approx 12 miles. WS4: Course distance: Approx 4 miles.
Parking: Free parking and entry to the park (through main Oxford Road Gate) for runners and accompanying spectators.
Prizes: Cash prizes for category winners. A beer from Social Tap for each finisher. Criminally Good Beer https://www.tapsocialmovement.com/
Grand Prix: Overall competition prizes to be awarded immediately after the event.
Facilities: No changing or shower facilities are available but there are public toilets at the nearby Pleasure Gardens and at the Palace.
Baggage: You are welcome to leave your bag inside our admin tent (at your own risk) if you wish.
Refreshments: Will be available at the nearby café inside the Pleasure Gardens and at the main Palace restaurants and cafes.
Race Numbers: Collect from the entries desk on the day. Chip timing provided (TBC).
Entries: Online: Link below. Entries accepted up to 9:15am on race day at entries desk, provided race limit is not reached.
Maximum Number of Entries: 400 (total both races)
Eligibility: Minimum age 17 years old for WS12 and 15 years old for WS4 (England Athletics Run Events licencing regulations). Parental or guardian permission will be requested on the entry form for athletes under 18 years old.
Dogs: No dogs, except medical assistance dogs, subject to them being correctly registered and identified (UKA TR55 S6).
Headphones: No headphones, except bone conducting subject to race director’s safety check (UKA TR55 S5).
No Buggies or Pushchairs or Carrying of Any Child. (UKA TR55 S7)
Entry Fees: WS12: £18 UKA affiliated / £20 non-affiliated. WS4: £15 UKA affiliated / £17 non-affiliated. On the day, £20 (cash only).

Please note: Event spectators and supporters will be allowed access to Blenheim Park and the event area free of charge solely for the purpose of supporting the event. There will be no right of entry to the Formal Gardens or Great Court.

Course Description (WS12): Three laps, traversed anti-clockwise (left-hand down), of undulating private roads within the picturesque grounds of Blenheim Palace. There is one main hill at 2, 6 & 10 miles. Water will be available on the course in cups at the start of the second and third laps. During the Woodstock 12, the hill up to Combe Gate brings the runner into High Garden, an ancient and undisturbed part of the Blenheim estate, past some of the oldest oak trees in the country and wild tree bees!
Course Description (WS4): One lap of the same course. Currently not measured to UKA standards, but accurate to four miles within 10m.
