James takes 1st V40 honours at Maidenhead

James Bolton picked himself up after a fall early on which  cost him 100 or so places at the Maidenhead Easter 10-mile on 19th April. Gradually working his way through the field James clocked a creditable 55 minutes dead for 5th overall and a 1st V40 placing.

Bolton and Cantwell to the fore again

Our “deadly duo” were in action again at the Banbury 15, this year’s first Oxon Road Race Grand Prix fixture, where James Bolton won the race by almost 3 minutes.  Dave Cantwell secured 2nd V50 honours with another strong run backed up by Ralf Arneil, Leo Brooke-Little and Dan Eisenhandler. It’s those men again

After the final race of the Oxon Cross-Country season at Henley Showground both James Bolton and Dave Cantwell secured series honours.  James took the V40 overall gold with Dave winning bronze in the V50 class. In the Club Cross-Country Handicap contest Dave and Sue Cantwell were winners in the men’s and women’s competitions respectively.

Wokingham Half Marathon News

Sarah Kerswell put in a sterling effort at the Wokingham Half clocking an impressive personal best of 1:36:22 in the LV50 category. The ever reliable duo of James Bolton (1:11:58) and Dave Cantwell (1:21:59) showed their customary determination in a high-class field.
